September Beauty Favourites

I can’t believe September is almost over… Seriously, how fast did this month go?! I have been sooooo busy this month but I have found the time to become completely obsessed with some new (and old!) beauty products. These have been my fave items this September….

Maybeline- Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara - £4.99

I bought this product on a bit of whim. I had read quite a few blog reviews about Brow Drama and it’s fair to say this product definitely divides opinion. Some love it, the rest absolutely hate it. It is the Marmite of brow mascaras! I always fill in my brows with my trusty MAC 266 brush and MAC eyeshadow in the shade Charcoal Brown. Seriously, thank you MAC for making these products: they are my brow essentials. I do like to have quite a strong brow. It’s my favourite makeup look: Cara is always my inspiration (of course). I thought I would try Maybeline’s Brow Drama in Dark Brown just for a change. Brow Drama gives a really natural, defined brow when used on its own. The product is fab at setting your eyebrows for the whole day (yay) and adds quite a lot of colour to your eyebrows.  It really is the perfect eyebrow product for anyone who wants to achieve a natural-looking brow in no time at all. It’s so easy to use. However, I am a girl who loves a bold brow. So, I really didn’t think Brow Drama would be making it into my makeup bag anytime soon… Well, that was until I decided to try Brow Drama on top of my MAC eyeshadow. I fill in my brows as normal and then use two or three coats of Brow Drama. Now, I have Cara-worthy brows (that last all day) in an instant. I’m so converted to this product that I instantly went out and bought another one just in case I ran out!

Rimmel London- Wake Me Up Concealer- £5.49

Okay, so this is definitely not a new discovery.  In fact, I used to use this concealer ALL the time but then it got replaced my Collection’s Lasting Perfection concealer. I didn’t even realise that I still owned any Wake Me Up concealer until I spontaneously ran out of Lasting Perfection. I found myself frantically searching for a concealer when I came across Wake Me Up at the bottom of my makeup bag. I’m so glad I did, I have well and truly rekindled my love for this concealer. I love the creamy texture: it’s super blendable. I also love how it brightens my eye area. It really does make me look more awake!

Sleek- Face Contour Kit in Light- £6.49

It's all about the highlighter in this Sleek Face Contour Kit. Seriously, it may even be the best highlighter that I've ever owned. The highlighter is very pigmented (perhaps not suitable if you're looking for a subtle highlighter), but that's what I love about it. I love the glow this highlighter achieves when the glitter pigments capture the light. My skin looks brighter, illuminated and really healthy. This highlighter also looks fab on photos (which is always a good thing).

I never thought the POREfessional would ever feature in a favourite post because, if I’m being honest with you, I really didn’t think the product was worth the hype. So, I used it a few times and then forgot about it. I decided to try the POREfessional again this month to see if my mind had changed and now… I love it! Seriously, what was I thinking?! The primer has the silkiest texture and my skin feels super soft. My makeup applies like a dream after using the POREfessional and stays put all day.

I have been completely obsessing over eye products this month. Sometimes your eyes just need a little ‘pick-me-up’ to make them brighter, to remove dark circles and to reduce redness. I bought The Body Shop’s elderflower eye gel at the start of the month and it is the most amazing product. It really does revitalize tired looking and sore eyes: it’s so cooling and soothing. It makes such a difference to the eye area. Perfect for tired eyes.  It’s easy to see why it’s a best seller. I’ve been using The Body Shop gel with Benefit’s It’s potent! eye cream. I received a sample in this month’s Birchbox. I love, love, love this product and it’s incredible power to instantly brighten my eye area: dark circles are a thing of the past! I also love the creamy texture of the eye cream and it is super hydrating so my skin feels smooth and soft. I have found the dream team of eye products.  So, when I feel so tired during a 9am lecture; my eyes tell a different story.

I just can't stop spraying this Hollister Body Mist. It just has the most amazing fresh and sweet scent. It's a fabulous mix of nectarine and vanilla with floral notes. It's a great everyday fragrance that surprisingly lasts all day!
