September's Birchbox

September’s Birchbox has finally arrived. I love the concept of a monthly beauty box: it's so exciting opening up your box to see what lovely things are inside. It really does remind me of Christmas. The theme of September’s Birchbox was ‘Happy Days’ (aw cute); the theme was meant to evoke happy nostalgic memories from days gone by and to make us look forward to new memories. It’s a really lovely theme idea but I couldn’t really see how the samples fitted the theme (well, apart from the photo clip). Anyway, this is what was inside my Birchbox…

I subscribe to Birchbox because I love trying new beauty products (let’s be honest who doesn’t love beauty samples). However, I do like that they include lifestyle products. I have wanted to try Urban Fruit for a while now and I was so happy when I opened my Birchbox to find a bag of ‘Magnificent Mango’. I haven’t eaten this yet but I can’t wait to try it… yummy.

Now onto my favourite product in the box… Benefit’s It’s Potent! Eye Cream. I love, love, love this product. I will definitely be purchasing the full size version of this as soon as possible. I can’t believe I have never come across this eye cream before, so thank you Birchbox. This eye cream claims to ‘banish dark circles and smooth fine lines’. I love the texture of the cream: it’s silky smooth and just melts onto the skin without it feeling greasy. This cream definitely illuminated my eye area and made it super soft, smooth and moisturised. I love this product.

I have read so many amazing reviews about the BeautyBlender; so I definitely can’t wait to try this make up sponge. I must admit it would take something rather spectacular for me to switch from my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush but we’ll see… I also love that this sample comes with a solid soap to cleanse the brush with. The ModelCo Lip Lacquer is definitely a nice surprise; I am not that keen on lip glosses but this one is really lovely. I received the colour ‘Viva’ which is a bright bubblegum pink. The colour is highly pigmented and the gloss is really hydrating and gives the lips a gorgeous glossy shine. It also tastes like bubblegum (yum).

The Korres Citrus Shower Gel is also a nice surprise (I never expected to receive a shower gel in my Birchbox). It smells amazing; it actually reminds me of the shower gels that you get in hotels. Yes, it smells that good. I haven’t used the Agave oil yet but I’m excited to try it. It claims to ‘smooth the hair, build resiliency and boot shine and colour’. This hair oil does smell absolutely incredible (vanilla and coconut…lush). I am a massive fan of hair oils, so I definitely can’t wait to try this! I was definitely very impressed with this month’s box. I can’t wait to see what October’s box brings…

What did you think of September's Birchbox?
