Autumn Essentials: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

The Naked 3 Palette is my go-to eyeshadow palette this season. I have owned my Naked 3 palette since it went on sale last December. I literally ran to Debenhams on Oxford Street (as I was doing some Christmas shopping in London town) when I heard it was finally going on sale and I managed to buy one of the first ones to be sold that day. I knew I had to get my hands on one of the most anticipated beauty products of 2013! I used my Naked 3 palette literally everyday during the Christmas period but then I kind of forgot about it (oops) as spring and summer arrived. Well, now it's autumn once more and I was looking for the perfect autumnal eyeshadow, when I remembered the gorgeous rose-hued shades in the beautiful rose-golden (my fave) packaging of the Naked 3 palette. I'm so glad I've re-discovered this palette as I think it is the perfect palette for autumn and winter. It really is a must-have for the festive season.

So, now for a shade breakdown...

Strange: "a pale neutral pink matte-satin". Strange is a great matte eyeshadow to have in your collection. It's quite versatile, highly pigmented and great as a base or for highlighting under your brow.

Dust: "a pale metallic pink shimmer with iridescent micro-glitter". Dust is a bit like marmite- no it's definitely not the colour of marmite- but it does divides opinion. Some love it and others hate it. Yes, iridescent micro-glitter isn't for everyone: it makes the eyeshadow quite rough and gritty in texture and it's prone to a lot of fallout. However, I think it is a really pretty shimmer, perfect for just that hint of sparkle. It's also a great inner-eye highlighter.

Burnout: "a light pinky-peach satin". I am big fan of Burnout, it's easily one of my faves in the entire palette. It is a great staple for a girly autumnal look. Great pigmentation and a gorgeous silky texture.

Limit:  "a light dusty rose matte". Oh Limit, you are fabulous. One of the best mattes I've ever owned and it has the smoothest texture.

Buzz: "a metallic rose shimmer with silver micro-glitter". Yep, another glittery one. I'll be honest it has taken me agesssss but I think I actually might have grown to like Buzz. It has fab colour pigmentation and is definitely made for autumn.

Trick:  "a light metallic pinky-copper shimmer with tonal micro-sparkle". Trick is made for those glam Christmas parties. It's the most gorgeous rose-golden shade. Trick is definitely my favourite shade in the Naked 3 Palette.

Nooner: "a medium pinky-brown matte". Urban Decay really know how to make a gorgeous matte and Nooner is definitely no exception. A finely milled matte with great pigmentation: perfect for adding lots of definition.

Liar: "a medium metallic mauve shimmer". Liar is a deep brown with gold and pink undertones and a gorgeous shimmer. A gorgeous shade that is very versatile: perfect for adding that extra sparkle to your look.

Factory: "a pinky-brown satin". Factory is really quite similar to Liar. Factory is a slightly richer brown with just a tiny hint of shimmer. Again, this is a really versatile shade.

Mugshot: "a metallic taupe shimmer with slight pink shift". Mugshot is another one of my absolute faves from this palette (I know that I have a lot). This shade is the most perfect silvery-grey taupe: it has the softest texture, applies like a dream and has amazing pigmentation. Seriously, you can just sweep Mugshot over your eyelid for an easy yet simply stunning autumnal look.

Darkside: "a deep taupe-mauve satin". Darkside is the go-to shade in the Naked 3 Palette for smokey eyes. It is a gorgeous deep purply-brown with just a tiny hint of shimmer, which makes it the best shade for a festive smokey eye.

Blackheart:  "a smoky black matte with rosy red micro-sparkle" The darkest shade in the palette: Blackheart is a black matte with red glitter. This is probably the shade that I use the least on a day-to-day basis, however, it is beautiful shade that is perfect for a really dramatic look. I'm already planning my Halloween makeup look around this beautiful shade.

I'm so glad that I've rediscovered this gorgeous palette. It really is an autumn essential. My favourite shades are definitely 'Trick', 'Nooner', 'Liar and 'Mugshot'. I love the Naked palettes because Urban Decay eyeshadows have the best pigmentation, texture and they are sooo easy to apply. I would have to say that the Naked 3 palette is one of the best palettes I own. Although, I have to be honest and say that Naked 2 is definitely my favourite one but Naked 3 is a close second.

I suppose we'll just have to wait and see if a Naked 4 palette will be released this Christmas. I'm wishing for winter pastel shades or dark purples and greens.

Do you love the Naked 3 palette?
