October's Birchbox

October's Birchbox has arrived and the theme of this month's box is: Work it! The idea behind
this theme is that October can be a busy month for work/university/school deadlines and it's important to stay organised and motivated. This is definitely a theme I can relate to as I've just started my final and third year at uni! October is also Breast Cancer Awareness month so this month's box focuses on health and wellbeing too. So, what did I get in my Birchbox (this is the exciting bit- it's just like Christmas!)...
Birchbox Makeup Bag and Birchbox Lipstick Pen: This month's Birchbox products came in a cute and pink Birchbox Makeup Bag. I always find these bags really useful, especially for travelling or to even put in my handbag. I also love the adorable lipstick-shaped pen- I will definitely be taking this pen to seminars and lectures!
Cattier Pink Clay Face Mask: I haven't actually tried this face mask yet but I cannot wait to try it. This face mask contains lots of aloe vera to illuminate and soften your skin- it sounds absolutely incredible! It's also suitable for sensitive skin, which is fab because I often find some face masks are too harsh for my skin. I'm definitely going to be saving these face mask samples for a lovely pamper evening.
KMS California HAIR PLAY Playable Texture: This a spray that can be used on both wet hair, as a prep spray for blow drying and styling, or dry hair, to add volume and to restyle. I really like to add texture and volume to my hair but I hate the buildup that you can get with some hair products. So, I love this spray, as it's great for adding texture and volume, as well as setting your finished look, without the buildup! I've never heard of KMS California before receiving this month's Birchbox- I'm so glad that I now know about this brand! Thank you Birchbox.
Shaveworks The Cool Fix: So, this is something that I never expected to receive in a Birchbox. The Cool Fix is a cooling lotion that treats those pesky problems (ingrown hairs, razor bumps, redness) that can occur after hair removal. I've not used this product yet but this definitely sounds like a useful product.
Lollipops Nail Lacquer: Ooh la la... This is this most perfect classic red nail polish from the Parisian brand Lollipops. This is definitely a colour that epitomises Parisian chic, you can totally imagine this being your go-to nail colour if you were travelling to Paris for a weekend away (if only). I think this gorgeously bold nail lacquer will become one of my favourite polishes to use this winter- perfect for Christmas parties.
Pixi by Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm:  I love this product- seriously where has this gorgeous lip balm been all my life?! This is definitely my favourite product in this month's Birchbox. This is a lip balm with lots of shea butter, so it smells absolutely incredible and leaves your lips so nourished and soft. I'm always searching for that perfect lip balm when autumn arrives and I think Birchbox may have found it for me. My lips feel super moisturised and winter-weather proof, which is essential at the moment because it's soooo cold. This lip balm also gives a gorgeous and subtle hint of colour to lips. My lip balm came in the shade Honey Nectar, which
is a lovely nude shade. This is definitely my go-to lip balm this season.
What did you think of October's Birchbox?
