The Beauty Wish List

These are the makeup products that I've been lusting after this month...

Firstly, I just want to apologise for not blogging in forever. I have been sooooo busy with uni deadlines that I just simply did not have the time to blog. So, now that all my deadlines are over (yay), I shall be blogging on a much more frequent basis.

Okay, so let’s get on to today’s post… I have been seriously lusting after beauty items this month. There’s just something about the change in seasons that makes me want to update my makeup bag! When it comes to summer makeup, for me, it’s all about dewy skin, bronzer, lots of highlighter and golden eyeshadows. These are the products that I need to add to my summer makeup collection…

Base and Face: I’ll be honest it’s been a while since I’ve used any bareMinerals products but I’m so intrigued by their new Complexion Rescue. It’s a BB, CC and a tinted moisturiser all rolled into one product, which not only gives you a flawless finish but also actually hydrates and revitalises your skin. I tried this in store the other day and it’s so lightweight, so it’s perfect for summer, as I hate having heavy-feeling products on my face. Oh and it has SPF 30 so it really was made for summer-ready skin.

Contour: Okay, it’s definitely no secret: I love to contour but finding the right bronze shade for my pale skin can be rather difficult. I do really like Soap and Glory’s Solar Powder but the bronze shade isn’t as effective as I would like for giving me those killer cheekbones. Although, it is fab as an overall bronzer! So, I have been on the lookout for a wonder product and I think I’ve found it in Kevyn Aucoin’s The Sculpting Powder. I’ve seen many of my fave youtubers and bloggers talk about this and I just have to try it for myself. Yes, it is a little pricey but any product that can create cheekbones on pale skin without being too orange is definitely a product worth lusting after.

Highlighter: When it comes to summer, I definitely like to add a touch more glow and a little hint of sparkle to my everyday makeup look. Highlighters are definitely a must for me when it comes to summer looks. However, I often find that this glow can quickly wear off or the product may be too sheer so I just don't get that desired effect when using some highlighters. The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer (such a fab name) is definitely not a new product and I'm sure you've all read countless reviews about its amazing pigmentation. I can't believe that I haven't tried this product yet but it sounds like my perfect summer highlighter, so I think this beautiful little product will be making its way into my life very soon!

Eyes: Summer eyes are all about a gorgeous golden look with lots of mascara! I have wanted to try a Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette for a while now and I think I might have to treat myself to the absolutely gorgeous Golden Goddess palette. The shades are beautiful and let's be honest this palette was made for summer looks from day to night. I'm always searching for the perfect mascara (does it even exist?) and the Scandal Queen Waterproof Mascara by Fairydrops has definitely caught my eye- that packaging though. After seeing how much Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup loves this product and the fact that it's been sold out on Cult Beauty for ages, I think I might just have to try this one out (when it comes back in stock...).

Lips: I'm still absolutely loving neutral, your-lips-but-better-shades. I, like most of my Twitter and Instagram feed, took advantage of the free sample of Burberry Kisses a few weeks ago and ever since then I've been lusting after more shades! These lipsticks are so smooth, hydrating and apply like a dream. Oh and the shade range is gorgeous. The final item on this beauty wish list is the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Liner in Pillow Talk- yep that lip liner. I was never really a lip liner kind-of-gal but I've recently been converted and this liner has gone straight to the top of my wish list.
