Firstly, I just want to say hello. Okay, I
know I have been away for ages but
I’ve had the most incredibly busy few months. I spent Christmas and New Year in
India, which was totally the most amazing experience of my entire life. Oh wow.
All the wanderlust. It’s seriously
all I talk about nowadays and I’ve already booked my plane tickets to go back.
So, I landed back in England in early January and my month has been non-stop as
I’ve had a lot of uni deadlines but now I’m back. I’m so happy to be blogging
again.
So, my first post of 2016 is dedicated to
the one and only, Charlotte Tilbury.
Santa (thanks mum) knew just how much I was lusting after lots of CT
makeup this Christmas and you can imagine just how happy I was on Christmas
day, when I opened these beauties. I was all the heart-eyed emojis. First of
all, just look at that packaging. Seriously all the rose-gold goals. Definitely
made for those insta flatlays, am I right?! Okay, so let’s get to the products:
Lips
I have wanted to try a Charlotte Tilbury
for so long but my problem was deciding on what shade and what finish. Matte
Revolution or K.I.S.S.I.N.G? Seriously, such a difficult decision. So, after swatching
literally every shade at my local CT
counter, I finally decided on Nude Kate. A gorgeous shade inspired by Queen
Moss and it really is the most gorgeous everyday nude. I would describe the
shade as beige with a hint of peachiness. It’s just a perfect nude that still
makes a statement. The formula of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks is dream-like.
Buttery, opaque, applies effortlessly.
Yep, it’s ticking all the boxes.
Now, like I said, I really struggled to
decide on a shade but luckily in CT’s Christmas collection was a gorgeous
little trio of mini K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks (how cute!?) in the shades: Bitch Perfect, Penelope Pink and So Marilyn. Bitch Perfect is a beauty of a
peachy-nude shade and the name is everything! I think I will be picking this up
in full size very soon. Penelope Pink is another nude with a beigey hue and So
Marilyn is a proper red, red (if you get me?!). Totally Marilyn-esque.
Finally, onto the Lip Cheat Lip Pencil in Pillow Talk. Now this product is so synonymous with CT: everyone loves it and
it’s not difficult to see why it’s a bestseller. I love it. It’s a just a gorgeous pink, ‘your lips but better’ shade
and it’s so easy to apply. Perfect for creating a fuller pout.
Face
The Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher
in the shade Love Glow is b-e-a-utiful. A gorgeous cool-toned pink with a hint
of golden shimmer. The pigmentation of this blush is incredible; a little goes
a long way. It’s so finely milled and it’s just so pretty on the skin: such a
lovely flush of pink!
Eyes
Just look at them. Wow. The Golden Goddess Luxury Palette first
caught my eye because I can’t resist taupe shades with a hint of golden
shimmer. And, of course, the other shades in this quad are equally as gorgeous
including a lovely pale gold, a golden brown shade that I’m totally obsessed
with and a light brown shade which brings all
the glitter for that extra pop to look. The shades work together perfectly
or on their own. The formula of these shadows is so buttery and there’s no
glitter fallout. What else can I say?! It’s a perfect palette. I can see me using this palette a lot this
summer.
The Dolce Vita Luxury Palette is another
winner that is perfect for autumnal and winter looks so still perfect for this
time of year. As you can see, this palette is all about those copper tones. The deep-red copper
shade is just out of this world.
