Diorshow Maximizer 3D

The lash primer that’ll end your skepticism about lash primers....
To be honest, I never really understood the point in lash primers. I thought it was a rather superfluous step in my everyday makeup routine. Yes, we all know the difference a great primer can make to your base (yep, Too Faced Hangover, I’m looking at you). But, surely, a good eyelash curler and your favourite mascara should be more than enough to create gorgeous, fluttery eyelashes, right?  I was wrong. So wrong.

Okay, let’s be honest, not all lash primers are great. Some just make no difference whatsoever. So, my skepticism about trying the Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume-Plumping Lash Primer was justified. But, I’m a girl who hates (really hates) false eyelashes and I wanted to give my eyelashes an extra boost of volume, length and curl without the hassle. I’ll be honest I bought this product because I have zero willpower when it comes to the Dior counter. Everything is just too pretty. But the packaging was saying all the right things and, like I said, I’m a girl who can’t say no to Dior. Treat. Yo. Self.

This is a game-changer. A total wonder product. The primer that everyone should own. Yep, I love it. It just works wonders on my lashes. The wand provides an even coverage of the primer on the lashes and the primer itself is lightweight. The primer does appear white on application and I was concerned that it would show through when I applied mascara, but I needn’t have worried. I used my favourite Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara after applying two coats of the Diorshow Maximizer 3D and the results were just wow. The primer really intensified the effects of my mascara: they looked volumised, longer, with a more defined curl. The primer didn’t show through or lighten the colour of the mascara. It was just like I was wearing falsies and I had no need for my eyelash curler either. I also find that my mascara flakes less throughout the day. This primer is a perfect match with my Too Faced Mascara, although it's probably a perfect match with any mascara. Seriously, it's like they should be singing duets together. If that was possible. I definitely shouldn't write blog posts after consuming my body weight in coffee after a Gilmore Girls marathon. Anyways...

The primer is ultra moisturising and Dior recommend using the primer overnight to condition to improve the appearance of the lashes. I haven’t applied the primer overnight yet but just from continued daily use, I have noticed that my lashes do look thicker and they are so soft.  Yes, the Diorshow Maximizer is a little pricey but my lashes have never looked better.

  1. Aw, that seems awesome! I think primers are important because we don't want to keep our lashes in bad condition. Although mascara does seem harmless, something eyelashes do become weaker during the removal process so it's a nice step to add in which also enhances makeup application!

  2. I rarely use primers because I feel like they're too much hassle and such a waste of money but WOW this one sounds great! I'm very tempted to give it a go, sounds worth every penny xx
