Brand Focus | Tanya Burr Cosmetics Autumn Collection

The Autumn Collection from Tanya Burr is seriously dreamy...

Firstly, Happy Halloween everyone! But, I have to admit, that I’m waiting patiently for midnight tonight so that it’s finally socially acceptable to listen to BublĂ©’s Christmas album. Because Christmas officially starts on November 1st, right?! I just love this time of year: the colder weather, autumn leaves, gingerbread lattes with whipped cream and new beauty collections perfect for Christmas gifts...

The packaging of Tanya Burr’s new Autumn Collection is beautiful and was the first thing that really captured my attention about these new products. The rose golden illuminators and the golden lipstick packaging is oh-so-Charlotte Tilbury and I think it gives the whole collection a very luxurious feel. Especially for the drugstore.

Okay, let’s start with the lipsticks. These lipsticks are very pigmented and have a smooth, glossy finish. There are six lipsticks in the collection in total featuring some gorgeous shades. I decided on Birthday Cake – a soft, pretty everyday pink – and Big Kiss – a classic, deep red that is literally perfect for the colder months. I’m definitely a your-lips-but-better kinda gal when it comes to lipstick shades but there’s just something about Autumn/Christmas that makes me reach for bolder shades. I also think I was inspired by Candice from Bake Off when I made this purchase. Sobs because you remember that GBBO has finished. Big Kiss was made for Christmas parties: it’s gorgeous, really quite expensive looking (seriously, at £6.99 these lipsticks are a bargain) and a very wearable red. I’m in love, can you tell?

Tanya’s Autumn Collection is all about getting your glow on. The Body and Face Illuminators are practically identical: golden, peachy, iridescent creams. I added a pump of the Face Illuminator to my foundation and it definitely added a natural and soft-focus glow to my base. The Body Illuminator is another product made for the Christmas party season. This product gives a lovely, subtle sun-kissed glow to your dĂ©colletage, arms and legs. It also smells of vanilla cupcake frosting, which is always a plus!

The Cheek Illuminators definitely bring the glow. I apply these straight to my face and then blend with a buffing brush. The formula is quite creamy and they blend quite easily. I have to say that I’m seriously impressed with the quality of all of the products in this collection, especially considering the price. The Golden Girl Cheek Illuminator is for bronzing up the skin. On first swatch, I definitely thought the coppery shade of this illuminator would be way too dark for my pale skin tone. However, I needn’t have worried, Golden Girl is aptly named and after blending really does give a golden warmth to the cheeks. Forever Summer is the highlighting shade. Forever Summer is a frosted, cool-toned pink highlighter. I have to say, I’m really surprised by how much I love this highlighter. It’s really pretty and the frosted-tone is perfect for winter. There’s a third illuminator in the collection – Holiday Happiness - which is the blush shade. Again, it looks like a really pretty colour but I also think the frosted pink of Forever Summer is a perfect blush and highlighter shade in one product.

The Tanya Burr Cosmetics Autumn Collection is gorgeous and perfect for this time of year.
